I am not really a fan of fancy things. I still use my 8-year old laptop. My smartphone is not even the latest model. But if there is one luxury that I am guilty of, it would be traveling. I was 21 when I started being head over heels in love with it. Six years later and I am still enthralled as ever.
I recently used Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho’s Philippines Bucket List Challenge to keep track of the key places I have been in the country. Below is my result:
Pagudpod was my first destination when I first traveled as a newly-licensed OT earning my own money. My friend and I rode a sleeping bus to the north with minimal to no plans of our route around different tourist spots of Ilocandia. We then managed to safely come to Vigan, somewhat familiar to me as I used to visit it with my family when I was a child.
I won’t forget the epic Mindanao backpacking trip I did with my friends. It is when I set foot in General Santos City, Davao, Siargao, and Camiguin. We then took a ferry to Bohol to see the Chocolate Hills and the tarsier before heading to Cebu for some lechon. Oh youth!
I have also surfed in the three major surfing spots in the Philippines- Baler, Siargao, and La Union.
I was able to witness the eternal beauty of Mayon Volcano in Albay. I did spelunking in Sagada and canyoneering in Kawasan Falls.
Last November 2019, I completed another once in a lifetime 15-day backpacking trip around Palawan that include Coron, El Nido, San Vicente, and Puerto Princesa.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the captivatin travels!
