We arrived in Sagada exactly on Independence Day. It was a nice switch of scenery from city skyscrapers to mountains. My first visit was 4 years ago. But its beauty has not faded at all. Although it seems that the patience of its people is wearing thin. Maybe they too need a detox from the thousands of tourists that flock their town in recent years.
It was just an overnight trip. A crazy one, but something we could look back in the future.
We all took a nap after checking in to our homestay. Sagada’s temperature would make you want to just stay in bed all day. Then we had a late boodle fight lunch. We went to Lemon Pie House for dessert. Then we went back to the homestay for some games, sing-a-long, bonfire, smores and stories. It was a team building after all.
The next day, we woke up early and hiked the trail to Marlboro Hills. What a panoramic view! Definitely worth the hike!
We dropped by Banaue again to buy some souvenirs before we continued our route through the intestine-like Cagayan Valley route while we play the 2 truths and 1 lie game to distract ourselves from all the curves and zigzag roads we passed by to get back to Nueva Ecija.
